Collene Wilson
Collene Wilson is an experienced business professional. She understands the importance of proper planning for achieving long term goals. She has invested significant time in her career to supporting youth programs. She worked within the interior design/home staging industry. She was responsible for interior project management of new construction single family homes, condos and commercial building renovations for 20 years until 2019 during the pandemic shutdown. Collene’s drive to ultimately pursue risk management and financial literacy stems from her passion to help individuals (particularly youth) and businesses navigate life and business cycles.
She used her previous professional experience to obtain licenses in Life, Health, Annuity, Property and Casualty and embarked on a new career in risk management and financial literacy. She has a passion for youth financial literacy particularly for children pursuing professional sports.
She is a proud Howard University Bison (The Real HU) and grew up in Maryland. She loves her West Indian culture and enjoyed living in the Caribbean for 4 years where she was instrumental in developing 2 hotel wellness spas in St. Thomas, USVI and in Grenada, WI).
She currently resides in Maryland with her husband and son and enjoys being a bonus mom to her “grown” daughter. She is very passionate about Track and Field and is a founding member of the 301 Panthers “Lady Panthers”. Her other interest includes cooking, reading, music, Children’s Ministry at her church, and event planning/management.
